Tourism with Intention: Building a Better Island, One Bite at a Time

Siargao is more than a surf destination—it’s a cultural and ecological mosaic.

This festival aims to highlight the socio-economic impact of tourism, and how intentional food events can support local supply chains, heritage, and livelihoods across the island’s 9 municipalities.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I join?

Food maps that'll show you all the activities that you may join throughout the festival are distributed at the Siargao airport and all partner venues and establishments throughout the island. They are free!

There are also food passports available at the venues and establishments that you may buy to join the collection of stamps.

Is the festival completely free?

Most of the activities are free which you may see more details on in the following days. There are also activities such as dining experiences that are paid which you may avail at the venues.

Why should people join?

The festival honors the island's growing food culture while spotlighting the real people powering its tourism economy: farmers, family-led karineryas, baristas, fishermen, distillers, chefs, and small business owners. We want Siargao to be seen through its people and flavors - an invitation to connect more deeply, give more meaningfully, and leave more responsibly.

Can people volunteer to help out?

We do accept volunteers. Check out this form and sign up if you're interested to help out in any way: www.tiny.cc/sfwf_signup
